Buying a billboard on PlanetBid means accepting what is below. It is written to be understood; if anything is unclear, write to us before you pay.

What you buy

You buy a billboard on the planet showing your site: the name and description your own site publishes, its icon, your color, and a link to your domain.

You are not buying time. The billboard is yours until someone else pays $2.50 more than you did. That may take months or happen five minutes later. There is no guaranteed minimum, and that is how the site works, not a defect.

There is no refund when someone takes it from you. What you paid covers the time the billboard was yours, however long that turned out to be.

When money is returned

• If your payment arrives and the billboard already belongs to someone else, the transfer is rejected and the charge is refunded in full, automatically. That is the case of someone who opens checkout, takes a while, and gets beaten to it meanwhile.
• If a failure on our side stops the billboard from showing your site, you get a refund.

Opening checkout holds the billboard for 3 minutes. After that it becomes available again even if your payment page is still open, precisely so that nobody can freeze the inventory without paying.

What can appear on a billboard

You do not write the content: it is read from your site’s tags. Even so, we do not accept domains whose content is illegal, deceptive, malicious, sexually explicit, or impersonating another person or brand.

We may remove a billboard that breaks the above. If we remove it for that reason, the amount is not refunded. If we remove it for any other reason, it is.

We do not verify that the domain is yours. Buying a billboard for someone else’s site and passing it off as your own is the responsibility of whoever buys it.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars (USD). Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. If your bank charges a foreign currency fee, that is on you.

Availability

This does not promise to be available around the clock. There may be outages, maintenance, or changes to how the planet looks. An outage does not extend or make up for the time you held a billboard, because time was never part of what you bought.

We may change these terms. What you bought is governed by the terms that were in place when you paid.

These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Nothing on this page cuts back the rights your own country’s law gives you as a consumer: where anything here conflicts with them, they win.
